I put the fountain in a well lit portion of my butterfly garden. It was easy to set up and has run well for a few weeks, now. Drawbacks are minor, and have more to do with location than the fountain. I've had an issue with dirt getting blown in to the basin. There is a filter on the pump suction, so it hasn't caused mechanical difficulty. It's more a matter of the fountain being small and so close to the dirt; this makes periodic rinsing a necessity. Also, it splashes a little in the immediate area and since I have it in a sunny location, there is a need to regularly add water.
Best location - a shaded area for the fountain (and sunny for the solar panel - there are several feet of cord with the product) with no loose dirt nearby.

Nice fountain, but I am going to look for a AC power cord or adapter, as it REALLY only works in direct sunlight. I was hoping the solar power would store during the day when the panel was in the sun and therefor work even after dark, but no.

When we are reading the paper at the outside table and chairs, we hear our tinkling water in the background, along with the birds chirping. Kind of reminds you of a little soft calming paradise.
